The following are PMTA events in which my students are encouraged to participate.

Spotlight on Bartok at Seton Hill University, February 22, 2009. Learn about Contemporary Hungarian composer Bela Bartok. Hear his music and view art and sample foods that would have been available during the period in which he lived.

Maags (for graduating seniors): Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Seton Hill University. Music scholarships will be awarded to qualifying seniors who are students of PMTA teachers.

Composition Recital: Sunday, May 17^th, 2009 at Seton Hill University. Composition Contest winners will perform and receive their cash awards.

Music achievement Festival: also on Sunday, May 17^th at Seton Hill University. All students are encouraged to participate in the Music Achievement Festival. You will meet the students of other Westmoreland County teachers and get input on your progress as a musician. Listen to, or perform at the group recital and participate in group activities.
