August Newsletter

August Recital. We will have an informal recital at Green Meadows Personal Care Home on August 29^th at 2:00 PM. Green Meadows is located at 500 Brouwers Drive, just left of St Vincent. (Turn at the red light on Route 30 and make the 1^st left off St Vincent Drive.) I would like each student to be prepared to play two to four pieces. Music does not need to be memorized.

There will be no Halloween Recital this year because my youngest daughter is getting married at the end of October and I expect to be pretty busy that month. There will not be another recital until the Christmas Recital in December.

Winter Schedule. We will go back to the winter schedule on August 30^th. Your lessons will be on the same time and day as they were last winter unless you notify me otherwise. If you need to make any changes, please let me know as soon as possible.

Sonatina Contest. I still don’t have a definite date for the Sonatina Contest, but it will be held in mid October at the new Seton Hill Performing Arts Center in Greensburg. (The tentative date is Oct. 10^th.) I only have one student preparing to compete at this time, but it is not too late to start if you are willing to work hard at preparing a Sonatina. If you are interested, let me know immediately.
