November 2010 Newsletter

The Christmas Recital will be on Sunday, December 19^th at 2:00 PM at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church on Mission Road (beside the Laurel 30 Shopping Center.) Students may play two to four songs and music does not need to be memorized. Neighbors, friends and relatives are welcome to attend the recital as there is ample seating.

Congratulations to Jerrick Ban! Jerrick won 2^nd place for Level Two in the PMTA Sonatina Contest which was held at the Seton Hill Performing Arts Center on October 10^th. Good work Jerrick!

Only five students were able to participate in the recital at Barnes and Noble. Thanks Sarah, Abbey, Nellie, Jerrick and Mike for doing a great job at the recital. I’m sorry that I forgot to take a picture of you for the newspaper. I was still exhausted from my daughter’s wedding which was the day before, and I just didn’t think of taking a picture.

Holiday Schedule. There will be no lessons on Thanksgiving Day, but there will be lessons Thanksgiving weekend. If you are unable to come to your lesson that weekend please let me know.

There will be no regular lessons from December 24^th through January 2^nd, but there will be group theory classes on December 30^th with games and prizes. You will receive the theory class schedule next month. The theory classes are fun, and are a great way for the students to interact with and get to know the other students.
